Unclutter lifestyle = Peace of Mind

Greetings loved ones...I just awoke from 12 hour nights of rest which my body completly shut down. I just laid in bed contemplating on life in grneral and came to distracting realization that I'm completely uncentered. Mentally, physically, emotionally and most vital Spiritually. I have let situations and my enviroment take a toll on my complete lifestyle. Last night i felt horrible, I collapsed on my bed after barely getting my laundry done and woke up in the middle of the night prespiring with a fever and sore throat. This morning after I rolled out of bed and crept in the kitchen to warm up my peach greentea and some oatmeal that I had to forced down I realized my entire center had been thrown off.

Mentally I have been fighting my enviroment to stay focused and firm in my morals. I have been figthing to stay true to myself and not allow peer pressure to take over my being. It is a constant battle to not get pulled into the fake reality that many people feel the need to chase in this world. I am me no matter the enviroment.

Physically. Due to the lack of organization in my life my body is receiving its punishement. Hardly any rest for the past couple weeks, my eating habits have been basically disgusting. I either overeat anything thats in hands reach or forget to eat entirely. My body has been screaming out for water to fight the state of dehydration that I often feel. You are what you eat. All I have been scarfing down my throat is processed, fried and overly sugared sweets. Thats exactly how my body feels after the foods I intake. My yoga/running schedule has completly come to a hault and substitued with quick naps or late night studying.

Emotionally. I have never experienced every emotion at such a constant rush in my life. I did not know how to deal with it. I usually can take the time and overanalyze each every emotion and set it aside in the place of where avoidance could take care of it. But this time my rules did not apply. Avoidance has only built up more emotional confusion. I struggle with the feeling of dealin gwith unwanted, unintended, and unexpected emotions.

Spiritually. This is the most vital of me being unbalanced. I attended church yesterday and the pastor preached on uncluttering your lifestyle. He hit from your sacred living space to unwanted thoughts that try to persecute you on a day to day basis. It was that point on which I had a " Aha Moment" That was the key leaving stress, lonliness, unhealthiness and every other negative trap the devil sets for God's children...My meditation has gone from twice a day to a quick 2 min. period before I rush out of the door.
So this morning I have taken time to achievce my balance and gain back my outlook.
find mor info at ...http://www.bodylove.name/healing.htm

"Meditate, meditate, meditate – you will not move beyond the physical without regular contemplation/introspection time. All of the great ones who came before us and who are here with us now moved to higher levels of vibration with meditation. Quieting the conscious mind in order to delve into the subconscious is like floating through a hoop (portal) into another existence. It is here that visions and messages of all kinds are received. New worlds and dimensions can be explored. True healing can take place. Creativity and self knowledge is stimulated. There are many methods of meditation. Seek out books, teachers, videos, tapes, etc. to learn meditation techniques. Body Love has a number of books on the subject, and you are welcome to come here, have a cup of tea and read.

Through meditation, we listen to our Source. It is with prayer we talk to our Source. In preparation for prayer time, smudge your prayer room with white sage/copal/frankincense & myrrh or your favorite sacred substance, light a candle, pour libations in recognition of those ancestors who came before us. Then, talk to your Source. Pray for others, ask for forgiveness, etc.; then let your faith make manifest.

Eat foods with high vibrations. The highest are foods that are still alive; fresh raw fruits and vegetables. Living foods contain nutrients and enzymes that can not be reproduced in a laboratory. Once you apply heat, you change the molecular structure of your food and destroy its life sustaining substance. Flesh, processed, and chemical non-foods carry a low vibration and are not fit for your sacred self.

Commune with water multiple times throughout the day. First, know that water absorbs energy. Read “The Hidden Messages in Water” by Masaru Emoto. He has scientifically proven that our thoughts can change water molecules. And, guess what? We are water! Yes, your body is 90% water, according to the latest research (Emoto). This means that you absorb the energy of your environment; including thought energy. Do you constantly spew negative thoughts in your mind or while talking to others? If so, you are making your self toxic. Next, know that you must replenish your body’s water throughout the day. Dehydration is the number one cause of dis-ease on the Earth! Drink water, drink water, drink water. Then take a bath – not a shower – a bath. Add a generous amount of dead sea salts (1-4 pounds), relax and meditate. Did you know that the amniotic fluid surrounding the fetus in a mother's womb is almost identical to the composition of water from the sea? Ponder on that! Body Love carries a selection of sea salts for your bathing experience.

We don’t often acknowledge the sacredness of our sound waves. Our ancient ones produced sacred sounds or music. Surround your self with beautiful sacred music mixed with sacred words. Televisions and radios use crystals to transmit sound energy. In other words, crystals are tools of communication. They absorb and transmit energies including sound. Carry with you or wear crystals that reveal the path of your core. Body Love has a number of books in the library that will teach you about the use of crystals.

Wear clothing and jewelry that has meaning; that enhances certain traits of your being. It is a way of connecting to other beings who become inspired by your creativity, diversity and unique energy. Clothing should be comfortable; not restricting. Tight blue jeans (dungarees) are responsible for dis-eases of both the womb and prostate. Note: Historically, blue jeans were called dungarees, because they were worn when cowboys worked with and came in contact with cow and horse excrement. These days, the fashion industry has persuaded many of us to think of dungarees as a fashion statement.

Connect to Mother Earth as often as you can. Walk barefoot in grass, sand, earth. Take deep breaths of outside air – let fresh air into your sacred living space, regularly. Spend time in the sunlight, as much as possible. The more advanced this society becomes, the sicker we get. We must begin to re-evaluate the ways of our ancestors. "

God Bless....

*GlOW In The DARk Tour*

SPEECHLESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Honestly that how I feel about the Glow in the Dark Tour. I honestly felt as if I saw a piece of history in the making. The concert was phenomenal from beginning to end!! So me and my homeboy just entered the United Center trying to find our seats and all of sudden I heard..no it couldn't be ...is it Lupe?..was it him really?... Oh yes it was !!!! i cut out running pushing, I honestly did not care who I had to trample over to see him! haha I know I sound slick crazy! But I def. was focused on Lupe! He delivered so well! During his performance of Kick, Push I zoned out and I was jammin out oh so hard and during the "Paris, Tokyo" performance I acted as if LUPE wrote those lyrics just for me. He ended his set with none other than teh uplifting song and my ringtone of "Superstar!" I thought he was going to perform more songs but it was still the highlight of my life.
Okay next who performed was N.E.R.D. When I say they got the crowd hype I have never seen energy like this in my life. The raw instruments and fun lyrics kept the crowd on there feet the entire time. I was screaming on the top of my lungs " You Can't Be me I'm A Rockstar!!" Rinanna was the next performer. Surprisingly Rihanna sound good live! Many people believe Rihanna doesn't have a strong voice but she pretty much killed it especially with her own rendition of Lauryn Hill's "That Thing" Oh did i mention that Chris Brown randomly ended on stage during N.E.R.D.S performance during a dance break,,Hmmm tat tat in that.

Okay so I was wondering why all the artists performance was a tad bit shorter than what I anticipated but it all made since when Mr. Kanye West came and shut the United center down! I have a whole new respect for this man! When I said he poured out his soul, energy and heart on that stage I mean every word! Kanye seriously made his love for his hometown be known through each song he spit. He allowed each one of his emotions he felt in every lyric he spat. from "Jesus Walks" to the emotional heartfelt lyrics of "Hey Mama"(where the crowd applauded for his mother's beautiful spirit) to the fight for fame of "Through the Wire" he not only rocked the crowd but left them feeling uplifted and motivated. At the end of he performing "Stronger" I thought it was the end of the concert and I was about to head than all of sudden you heard the beat of " homecoming" and the crowd went crazy!! I honestly felt as if I was born and raised in Chicago..lol ..atleast for that song. Once again I thought that was the finale and it was time to gather the memories of the concert and head home..Wong!!! Another surprise he came back put with "Touch the Sky" and you know what that means Mr. Fiasco came back out to perform his verse. The crowd was uncontrollable two of the most influential rappers now who put Chicago on the map on stage in their hometown. aah I loved it, I honestly can't explain the feeling of the concert. You could feel the struggle, pain and triumph of Kanye's life while he performed on stage, he is such an inspiration and is living proof that you do not have to follow society's standards to reach your dreams. He ended the concert with an inspirational speech about following your dreams and not allowing anyone stop you from achieving your dreams. He repeated this line over and over after he performed his last song....."Make Sure Before we die, we're going to Touch The Sky...."

"EXILE" This ShOW!!!

Sooo yesterday after watching the oh so surprising finale of The Hills..Note* They did Audrina wrong*( I know I'm a sucker for the show ...and every other fake reality show) But as the finale ended I was greeted by the ignorance of today's youth! Sooooo this foolish preview began with one of the females mildly retarded girls who were on Sweet Sixteen (Every person on that show was out of line except Teyana Taylor!) But anyways but the preview continues to show clips of her acting like a brat with no common sense. Once these clips were panned to her father who just seemed oh so irate that he created this ungrateful monster. As a lesson he sits her down and tells her he is sending her away....Long Pause.....dun dun dun ..AFRICA! "OH MY GOD! If you loved me you wouldn't send me there!" this comment literally wanted to throw my Boutique 9 heel through that damn television! Excuse my language but I can truly only take so much. The next clip is her in mud huts, pailing out water. PAUSE please do not get me wrong there are beautiful people of color in Africa who do still live in traditional huts and a more traditional style of lifestyles. I love and respect they're culture to the highest degree. My problem is that why in the world would you send little "Becky" to a stereotypical area in Africa where people already assume thats all it has to offer!! why couldn't they sent him to the city ..yes I said the city, yes with buildings and Ohh yeah and vehicles! You can still become exposed to other cultures and not perpetuate stereotypes. i'm extremely tired of ignorant Americans Asking me oh you've been to Africa.." so there's Tiger, lions And huts right?" No dumbass, How about you grab a book and educate yourself past what the media feeds you!!Im sincerely too through! Africa is such a rich and innovative continent but always gets down played. It is extremely sad how our society has come to agreement and that being dumb is cute. And Cee-lo daughter needs to be checked. Her father comes out with such thought provoking albums and she still thinks its attractive to try to assimilate in a society that will never truly accept her for the heritage that she is ashamed from..Sorry just had 2 vent .. Oh..God Bless!

I'm brinGinG "Seventies" BaCk

YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I am ALL SMILES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHY? Because Summertime Chi is quickly approaching! Thank God! After experiencing the worst winter and winds that gave me whiplash I am adoring this 74 degree weather! So summertime is approaching quickly which means I just naturally feel better and more relaxed in life. Is it just me or does summertime always puts you in an Ol' School mood?right now Im jamming to the best group ever_ Earth, Wind & Fire belting out September. So I always told my parentals that I was born in the wrong era. It also doesn't help since my besties are oldheads to, especially my girl mimi who knows every ol' school song recorded!Soo Clearly If you have God's gift of sight you can see that 80's Fashion has hit its all time peak! But was that the only decade that was hot?...Okay the 80's were fresh but the 70's embodied the word FlY! I am loving the 70's style vintage and inspired pieces! Who wouldn't want to rock a decade where the fashion that you rocked represented you and just freedom period? So i have taken upon myself to have the 70's as my inspiration fro my summertime wardrobe. From halters, mini skirts, flowy dresses, wide legs, leotards, high collar long sleeve dresses, high boots, sparkly accessories, I'm even going to splash color in here and there, Oh and how ca I forget how much fun im going to have playing with the hairstyles of my glorious fro;) I told my friend at work I would love for her to make me a wideleg halter jumpsuit, Hold on thats sounds random but its going to be put together correct! You just have to respect the versatility the 70's brought from the glam look of ms. diana RosS to the powerful demeanor of sistah Angela Davis. The 70's allowed you to become what ever avenue you wanted to take in life. My girls Ms Jill ScoTt And Erykah Badu( Which I have Tickets for her concertMay 30th...EEk!!!) have already displaye their love of the stylish 7o's. Its must more than enjoying the style of the past but really looking at what all aspects came from liberation to advancement of our peoplt to accepting our natural beauty ( to the point where caucasions felt the nees to make afro wigs..hmm tat tat) it was just a time of advancement. Now its time to take what they given us and put a twist on it and building upon it.Oh I added some ol' school songs to my playlist 2 just to get you in the right mindset..Lo..God Bless!

Goodmorning! Soo I was at work the other day and between getting frustrated with go backs and aiding every wife to be pick out a dress for their bachelorette party..I found time to try on the flyest dress we carry! Okay, everytime I was going into work I always told myself I was going to slip it on and see how it fits. Sooo yesterday was the perfect day(oh thats what I told myself!) So when things began to slow down I snatched a size 4 and headed to the fitting rooms! I def. shouldn't have tried it on...Why? Because I fell in LOVE with it! I loved the layer of the dress, and it has a corset fitting so it kept everything tight and in place:) I loved the vibe it gave off as edgy but still classic with the lace detailing towards the bottom of the dress. Soo you're asking whats the problem? well A- I don't have an event to go to in this dress..Hmm Im sure I can get around that . Soo thats it right...oH no How did I forget i don't have an extra $518 dollars laying around:( but if I did let me tell you I would rock this dress foolishly hard! www.bcbg.com Oka more Fashion Posts are coming God Bless!!

HAiR GooDieS

Good Morning God's Blessings! So I rolled out of bed today and have time to post..Once again I should be doing something with pertaining to midterms but I'll pull through either way. Okay so beauty update. I know you're saying the title says Hair GooDies And NoT Food Goodies so why is their a can Of CriscO?The two new beauty items are dealing with the love of my life...my hair!! Okay so lack of moisture was killing me. I would step out in the harsh winds of Chicago and it would blow each drop of moisture out of my hair! It was pure foolishness! So I stumbled on an odd tip from UrbanCurlz.blogspot.com and I couldn't be happier! Okay everyone you need to invest in a tub of Miss Jessie's Buttercreme and I didn't object but my wallet sure did. Soo I had to go with a cheaper route called ......Crisco! I know, I know it sounds kind of crazy and sounds as if its setting us back a couple years but really think about it. I know many people who used Crisco on their skin and its an all natural product so your hair soaks it up! When I bought the can for 2 something I literally stared at the white greasy content for a good 3-5 minutes debating if this was a good idea. Oh it was an excellent idea especially if you're on a budget. I put a little dab in and I'm not lying I had moisture for the rest of the day! Since I finally found a nightly routine...I fingerpart my hair and probably do a good 8-10 twists, tie a silk scarf and take my behind to bed. So I started to use Crisco on my twists to keep moisture in my hair through the night but thats not all......
Soo I had to run into work to pick up a very chic black pencil skirt that was originally $106 and knocked down to $28 ...I love my discount! But anyway I was sidetracked by the sweet area of Carols Daughter section( I promise, That area is an addiction!) But any way I was sniffling through the conditioners and the sweet sistah working there brokedown which one would work better with my texture. Pause ..I think the faces of peopl who see my hair out is priceless:) Its as if they want tO ASK " How did Godnstick so many coarse, thick strands on one scalp?!"..Ok see I have ADD even when I write! but yeah I ended up picking up the Black Vanilla Leave-In Conditioner.. Ohh it gives off a warm scent that I adore! So I sprayed a small amount on my loose pinned p puff and I soon realized shrinkage but my curl pattern was on point! My curls were defined and soft! So I usually use the Crisco for my nightly routine and spray the leave in conditioner as my morning routine after I style it..okay thats all my hair secrets...God Bless!!
